Jr. Financial AnalystThe Jr. Financial Analyst will help analyze and interpret financial and market data to provide logical explanations for budget or expected variances. Ideally, this person will demonstrate strong leadership skills, work well in a team environment, have excellent communication skills, and will strive to enrich the Company Culture.The Jr. Financial Analyst reports directly to the Controller maintains proactive, frequent, and open communication with all members of Management.FINANCIAL ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with leadership team to prepare and analyze weekly & monthly project resultsServe as the Contract Administrator for all customer contracts, (COI's, W-9's, etc).Ensure completion of AMPP's Subcontractor Agreements, both customers and vendorsPrepare all bids for potential customersWork closely with the leadership team to prepare and complete post-close project analysis to improve profitability and win % for future projects / bidsProvide analytical reporting to PGS and AMPP leadership teams periodicallyAssist in new customer development and respective rates as neededChampion the storm contracts process including storm billing, cost analysis, and renewalsMaintain all supplier portals, including IS Networld, Ariba, Avetta, etc.Update equipment rates bi-annuallyMonthly AEP Accrual and closing of completed jobsComplete and Analyze Weekly Revenue ReportsAttend conferences on behalf of AMPP to gain new customer relationshipsPerform various analytical tasks and projects to assist management in decision making to improve the profitability of the companyFacilitate the educational process by staying current with topics in finance / accounting and help teach / train the leadership team in these areasAssist in gathering information for auditsOther duties as directedQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONSPersonal QualitiesAnalytical ThinkerHonest, Genuine, TrustworthyLeaderForward Thinker – ability to plan aheadGood communicator and listenerProblem SolverRespectful; maintain confidentialityDesire to learn and use technology – self improvementOrganized and detail orientedPositive team attitude; handle difficult and sensitive situationsPassionateStrong work ethic and loyalTechnical KnowledgeBasic understanding of Business Finance and analyticsAbility to use Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookEducationMinimum 2 years of finance/accounting experience preferredBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field or equivalent experienceThis job description is not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties or skills required for the job and is subject to review and change at any time, with or without notice, in accordance with the needs of the CompanyEqual Opportunity EmployerEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
