Create Sweet Moments in the Heart of Scottsdale Bring your pastry artistry to a resort where every detail is designed to delight. At The Scott Resort & Spa, you’ll help create the desserts, pastries, and bakery creations that turn a memorable Scottsdale getaway into an unforgettable experience. Set in the vibrant Sonoran Desert and minutes from Old Town Scottsdale’s celebrated dining, art, shopping, and nightlife, The Scott is a four-diamond destination with a personality all its own: warm, stylish, welcoming, and full of genuine hospitality. Our culinary team brings that same energy to every plate, banquet, buffet, and guest experience. This is a morning-shift opportunity for a talented, dependable pastry professional who loves the craft, from perfectly prepared doughs and mousses to polished cakes, chocolate décor, and show-stopping desserts. What You’ll Create Produce a delicious variety of pastries, cookies, hot and cold desserts, and bakery items for restaurant, banquet, and resort operations. Prepare creams, icings, mousses, sauces, fillings, doughs, batters, and other pastry components with consistency and confidence. Fabricate and assemble cakes for stock and production, including higher-level finishing work when needed. Create visually appealing products that meet the resort’s standards for quality, presentation, and flavor. Decorate desserts and pastries with chocolate and other finishing touches that make guests stop, smile, and savor. Assist with plate-ups, buffet preparation, and banquet pastry production. Store, package, handle, mark, date, and rotate bakery products according to established food-safety and quality standards. Maintain production schedules, cleaning schedules, and an organized pastry workspace. Collaborate with culinary leaders, fellow cooks, and packers to organize and package bakery products for banquets and events. Communicate product needs promptly with the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Banquet Chef, and other Culinary Leaders. Support the culinary team with additional duties as assigned. Why The Scott? At The Scott Resort & Spa, hospitality is more than a service standard, it’s our purpose. We make space for genuine hospitality, creating heartfelt experiences that invite guests to return again and again. You’ll work alongside a fun, friendly, collaborative team that takes pride in bringing warmth, creativity, and care to every guest interaction. Our team members live our pillars every day: Hands On & Heartfelt, Sincere & Focused, Collaborative & Curious, and Conscientious. If you enjoy working with people who care deeply about the details—and know that the best work is done with both skill and heart—you’ll feel right at home here. What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years of pastry experience in a similar-size operation. Current Maricopa County Food Handler’s Certificate (ANSI). Solid knowledge of baking and pastry production techniques. A passion for quality, consistency, presentation, and creative culinary execution. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. A professional appearance and polished presence appropriate for a four-diamond resort environment. A high level of integrity, reliability, and respect for guests and fellow team members. The ability to work in confined spaces and varying temperatures. The ability to grasp, lift, carry, move, and/or push products weighing up to 200 pounds. Bring Your Craft to Life From sunlit Scottsdale mornings to elegant resort celebrations, your work will help define the guest experience at The Scott. If you’re ready to bring precision, creativity, and a little extra sweetness to a hospitality team that values your talent, we’d love to welcome you.
